RCH Portal (Reproductive and Child Health) : Track Child Health Services and Beneficiaries

RCH in the RCH Portal stands for Reproductive and Child Health. The RCH program is part of the National Health Mission (NHM), which aims to provide high-quality care for pregnant women and children in the nation while reducing maternal and infant mortality rates.

The RCH portal supports the management and oversight of reproductive and health services aimed at lowering maternal and fetal mortality rates. The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Indian government is in charge of developing the RCH portal.

The pregnant women and children are registered on the portal, where the healthcare workers can keep a record of the prenatal care, postnatal care, deliveries, and immunizations. The portal also aids in programs like family planning. The portal collects data on family planning, maternal health, child health, immunizations, and vaccinations.

RCH Portal Overview

Research from the past 10 years shows that an increase in Maternal Mortality Rates(MMR) was due to the lack of proper health care and resources during pregnancy, childbirth, and aftercare. The MMR can be decreased with some small and basic measures; this is the aim of the RCH Portal to take into account of majority of pregnant women and children at the national level. The beneficiaries of the RCH portal include pregnant women and children.
