- Only women from the economically poor class get the benefit of the Free Silai Machine Scheme.

1. Financial support
Under this Yojana, eligible women get financial support of up to ₹15,000 to buy a sewing machine.
2. Free Training
Before procuring a sewing machine, women are given free training to learn the nuances of sewing. The duration of training is 5 to 15 days, and during this time women also get allowance of ₹ 500 per day.
3. Loan Facility
After completing the training, women can also take an easy loan of ₹2 to ₹3 lakh from the government if they want to start their own tailoring business. Under PM Vishwakarma Loan Scheme, the government is also providing loans up to ₹ 3 lakh without any guarantee at only 5% interest.
4. Explore other business
Not just sewing machines, eligible women can apply to do business in any of the 18 trades included under the scheme. After the application is approved, all those benefits be availed given by the government under Sewing Machine Scheme or Vishwakarma Toolkit Scheme.
